• I am super super sore today from working out yesterday.
• I'm taking today off but tomorrow its back to the rec center!!!
• Also it is in the 80's today here.
  
• I officially had to turn on my air conditioner and its february.
• Insane.
• Lastly, I sold a purse on ebay today for 70$- heck to the yes!!!
• bye bye credit card bill and or maybe buying a ticket to CHI-TOWN.

Sister in the Middle East

So my sister started over there in Dubai but now is working in Abu Dubai which is the capital of the UAE and about 90 miles away. Alot of people have been asking how she was doing over there since there economy and everything is crazy as well but, she's still thriving away as of now. Here is a story/ email she sent to me... Maybe it's just me but, I think its really cool to see some of the stuff and people she meets over there through her buisness. It might just be cause she's my sister but oh well..Heres her email and pics.. she's the blonde one..






"I met the Crwon Prince of Abu Dhabi today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,!!He asked me where I was from and I told him Texas and he asked me a bunch of questions about our great state :)"


THEN...


"I forgot in all of todays excitement that yesterday I met Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and VP of the UAE (United Arab Emirates)!!! (Thats like us meeting Joe Biden)He was eating lunch with the chairmans of Emmar, Nakeel, and the DIFC, at the same cafe we were at! I got a picture of him and Olga but not one with me as our company camera battery died!! just my luck!! :( I guess they were out "celebrating" their 10 billion bailout from the Abu Dhabi government they recieved Monday!Skeikh Moammed Bin Rashid was not very friendly and scary eyes!! Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi was a lot nicer, but I guess when your emirate is doing well and not tanking like Dubai's it puts you in a better mood!I attached the photo of him and my boss Olga!"





So yup, cray cray that she's so far away. I miss her.

I still have my arms and fingers

this is going to be one part of my wooden sculpture. No real purpose or meaning really just a random design although it is supposed to be similar and or related to constructivism sculpture (I think i might have mentioned that before). Let me just say that this, as simple as it looks, took me about 5 hrs. Haha and all of that is still not glued and or screwed together yet. It'll have 2 more side forking out, so it'll kinda look like a plus sign when it's done if you were viewing it from the top. I plan on spray painting it...I think black (feel free to suggest) and then I want to do stripes on it somewhere and add purple yarn... do NOT ask me why but I have this weird fixation with purple yarn and this project together as an idea. Ever since our professor told me about this project I just felt like I needed to add purple yarn to the wood. SO so so random and weird, I am aware.

Other than that I worked out like a mad man tonight for the first time in a long time thanks to Ninas text inviting me to go. It felt good. I'm hopefully going to become healthier and look a lil bit nicer too :0) Ha. Off to sleep I go. Night Y'all.

ps. I'm excited about the weekend! Cara, Kelly, and my bestie Lauren all in Austin! Boyfriend in 2 weeks and 1 day THANK YOU GOODNESS!

I'll do my best

So i've been updating my tumblr some but I have atleast 3 times as many friends with blogspots so who knows maybe I'll just update back and fourth. If you really care that much about what my thoughts are I suppose you can click the link to my tumblr.

With that being said today was a rough day.

Sheesh.

It is over though and although this week is going to be super busy and crazy, I hope it goes by fast at the same time. I don't get to see Mark now because of his internship till March 12th most likely  and the sooner that day comes the better. I miss him so much. Distance sucks.

In other news were making a wood sculpture in sculpture studio right now and it's probably the craziest thing i've ever done. We were given 3 2x4s as our medium and all we can use other than that is wood clue and a couple of screws. Should be interested to see what I come up with. It wont be anything insane I'm sure considering this is the first time I've EVER used any form of "power tool" or as I like to call them "death saws" so heres hoping that I dont lost an arm or finger in the process. Not even kidding above are two of the items that I have to operate at 8 am in the morning tomorrow.. (Did I mention I'm not a morning person/ am usually half asleep in this class) Since it is my first time operating these machines I am not the best at cutting angles yet and or slicing things in half like I can so easily draw them in the sketch. 

I guess that is all for now. I can't sleep cause I have to much on my mind and am all over the place.
